Using a workbench in Terraria is pretty straightforward. Just walk up to it and press the ‘Open / Activate’ key (which is usually the ‘E’ key or right-clicking on PC, and similar context action buttons on consoles and mobile). Boom, you're in! Now you can craft items from the list that appears, as long as you've got the required materials in your inventory.
