Using a Vertibird in Fallout 4 is your ticket to ruling the skies! First thing's first, you gotta join the Brotherhood of Steel. Get cozy with them until they trust you enough to hand over a Vertibird Signal Grenade. Once you have those, simply throw the grenade in a clear, open area. Make sure it's got plenty of space for landing. The Vertibird will swoop in, and you can hop on and choose your destination from the map.
