To get Vulkan running on your Steam Deck, first make sure your system is updated. Then, for most games, Vulkan should work right out of the box if the game supports it! Some games might require you to enable Vulkan specifically in the game's settings. If you're using a game that needs a bit more coaxing to switch to Vulkan, you might need to set the game's launch options in Steam. Right-click on the game in your library, go to Properties, and then set the launch options with the Vulkan command line for that game. It varies from game to game, so a quick Google with "[game name] Vulkan launch option" should guide you right.

Honestly, Vulkan comes pre-optimized in most Steam Deck games, no need to fiddle with settings. Enjoy gaming!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
