Just get the Kinect for Windows SDK, plug in the sensor to a USB port, and install the drivers you’re prompted to. You’re ready to roll!

I tried this with my old 360 Kinect. Download the Kinect for Windows SDK from Microsoft’s website, install it, and then connect the Kinect via USB. Worked like a charm for me!
