You don't. Gear isn't supported in every game. Check if the game allows gear before you try to wear it.
From my experience, you can wear gear by accessing your Avatar from the main menu, going to the 'Gear' section, and clicking 'Wear'. Make sure the game you're playing allows gear usage.
In a game that allows gear, simply equip it from your inventory menu. If it doesn't show, the game might not support gear!
To wear gear in Roblox, go to your Inventory, find the gear you want, and click the 'wear' button. Then, it should appear on your character!
