First, make sure to back up any data you want to keep. Then go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4, and choose the “Full” option. This will erase all your data and restore it to factory settings. Happy selling!

To wipe your PS4 for selling, back up important data first, then head over to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4, and select the “Full” initialization option. This will completely reset your system.

Did this myself when selling my PS4 last month. Just back up your saves, then navigate to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4, and pick 'Full' to wipe it. Worked like a charm!

Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 > Select 'Full'. Boom, you're done!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
