How to write a linear equation from a table
JokingTunic路3 months agoFirst, determine the slope (m) by finding the change in y divided by the change in x between any two points on the table. Then, use one of the points (x1, y1) and plug it into the equation y - y1 = m(x - x1) to solve for the y-intercept (b). Finally, write the equation in the form y = mx + b.

Gathering data from tables was my childhood hobby! Find the slope (difference in y over difference in x), then plug in one of the points to find the y-intercept. Voila, you have your equation y = mx + b!
Honestly, just use a calculator or an online tool. It's faster and less prone to errors.
Just find two points. Calculate the slope using rise over run. Then, use y = mx + b and solve for b.
