The series hits some historical notes accurately, like Viking culture and real figures like Leif Erikson. But Thorfinn's story is pure fiction.
I watched the whole series, and while it's not a documentary, it captures the Viking spirit phenomenally well!
Some of it is true! They get a lot of the Viking era lifestyle right, but take liberties with characters and storylines to keep it exciting.
