TBH, Subnautica can be a bit choppy on older hardware, especially in areas with a lot of underwater foliage. But it's still playable and super fun.
I've played on both PC and Switch, and while the Switch has some performance hiccups, it's still a fantastic experience wherever you dive in!
Subnautica runs pretty smoothly on most platforms, but a good PC will give you the best experience. If you're on consoles like PS4 or Xbox One, expect some frame drops in heavily populated areas.
