Is a Holo Pokemon Card Better than a Reverse?

Totally depends on what you're looking for! If we're talking flashiness, holo cards win hands down with their shiny, reflective surface that covers the whole illustration. Reverse holos have a subtler appeal, with the shine only on the card's frame, not the illustration. But, from a collector's point of view, it's all about what's harder to find or what completes your collection. Some reverses can be rarer, depending on the set!

Holo all the way! Nothing beats that classic sparkle when you pull a holo from a pack. It's like the whole card is celebrating. Reverse holos are cool and all, but they just don't have that same wow factor.

I personally prefer reverse holos because they're a bit more unique. You get the shiny effect without overshadowing the art. Plus, they can be harder to find for some sets, making them a sneaky good addition to any collection.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
