Fortnite's basically a household name at this point, been around longer and definitely pulls in more of the mainstream crowd. But don't sleep on Apex Legends; it's got a solid player base and holds its own with unique gameplay and a focus on team dynamics. Both are kings in their own right but if we're talking pure numbers, Fortnite takes the crown.
Fortnite's still leading the pack when it comes to popularity. Just look at the streaming numbers and social media. But both games are epic in their own ways.
