Unfortunately, ARK Ascended doesn't support crossplay between PS5 and Xbox. You'll need to stick with your fellow PlayStation or Xbox players.

As far as I know, ARK Ascended doesn't have crossplay between PS5 and Xbox. I tried to join my buddy on Xbox, and it didn't work.

Nope, you can't play ARK Ascended with friends on different consoles. PS5 players play with PS5, and Xbox players stick to Xbox.
