Actually, Boruto was initially written by Ukyo Kodachi with art by Mikio Ikemoto. Masashi Kishimoto took over writing duties starting from chapter 52!

Nope, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is written by Ukyo Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. Kishimoto-sensei passed the torch to this amazing duo!
