Darling in the Franxx does have some mature themes and fanservice, so it's definitely not for younger kids. Think PG-13 or older.
As a parent, I wouldn't recommend it for young kids, but older teens might be okay with it if they're used to anime tropes.
I watched it with my teenagers and we enjoyed discussing the themes together. Just be prepared for some mature content!
Honestly, it depends on your tolerance for mature content. There's some innuendo and intense situations, but it's not the worst out there.
