I've spent countless hours in Xenoverse 2, and I can confirm: no two-player story mode. Team up with your buddies for PQs and versus battles instead!
Nope, the story mode is single-player only. But you can still enjoy multiplayer in other parts of the game!
Hot take: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 would be way cooler with a co-op story mode, but alas, it's solo only for the story.
