Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai aren't exactly the same. Kai is a remastered version of DBZ with less filler content, better pacing, and updated visuals. If you want the core story without any detours, Kai's the way to go!

Nope, they're not the same. Z Kai cuts out a lot of the filler stuff from the original DBZ and has better animation.

I've watched both. DBZ is classic with all the extra content, while Z Kai is like a trimmed workout version. Depends on what you prefer!
