Yes, Fortnite has been experimenting with a first-person mode! It's been found in some game files by dataminers and looks like it's coming soon.
Hot take: They should just focus on what works best鈥攖hird-person. First person will just complicate things.
For now, it's just leaks and speculation, but given Fortnite's track record with keeping things fresh, it wouldn't be surprising.
Rumor has it that Epic Games is toying with the idea. There's been some leaks, but no official word yet.
