Is Funko Pop Japanese?
Nope, Funko Pop isn't Japanese! They're as American as apple pie. Funko was founded in Snohomish, Washington, USA, back in 1998. They started off with bobbleheads and eventually hit the jackpot with their Pop! Vinyl line in 2009. So, while they do make figures of many Japanese characters from anime and video games, the company itself is red, white, and blue.

Funko Pop? Japanese? Nah, it's as American as it gets. The company hails from Washington and has been bringing joy to collectors worldwide with their American-made collectibles. Sure, they've got loads of anime and video game characters in their lineup, but the brand itself is all USA.
Not at all! Funko Pop is a proud product of the USA. Founded in the late '90s in Washington, it's an American company through and through, even though they do a fantastic job of bringing characters from all around the globe, including Japan, to their stylized collectible form.
Actually, Funko Pop feels kinda Japanese because they have a huge variety of anime and manga characters. But no, they're based in the USA. Easy mistake to make given how global their appeal is.
