Nope! Xbox Game Pass is like a Netflix for games—you get access to a library of games to download and play. Xbox Live, on the other hand, is for online multiplayer gaming and digital services. They are separate, but Xbox Game Pass Ultimate combines both!

As someone who's had both, trust me—they're not the same thing. Game Pass is a subscription to a library of games, whereas Xbox Live gets you into online multiplayer matches and more.

Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live are different beasts. Game Pass gives you games, while Live lets you play online. But if you want both, Game Pass Ultimate is your go-to!

Quick answer: No, they aren't the same. Game Pass = games; Xbox Live = online play.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
