Nope, Goku is still an alien from the Saiyan race, even in that infamous live-action adaptation. They couldn't change his roots all that much!

No, Goku's a Saiyan, even in Dragon Ball Evolution. That movie has many issues, but Goku鈥檚 origins aren鈥檛 one of them.
Actually, I think in Dragon Ball Evolution, they kinda make him seem more human-like, but he's still supposed to be a Saiyan.
