Is GTA inappropriate?
GTA does have mature content like violence, language, and themes that might not be suitable for younger audiences. It’s rated M for Mature for a reason, so yeah, it’s not for kids. But for adults, it’s a fun and engaging open-world game that's perfectly fine as long as you remember it's all fictional.

Honestly, it entirely depends on who's asking. If you're a grown-up, then no, GTA is just another action-packed game with a storyline and missions. But for kids or early teens, definitely not appropriate due to its mature content.
