Ink Resistance is definitely a handy ability in Splatoon! It reduces the amount of damage you take and increases your mobility when moving through enemy ink. I find it essential for making those daring dashes through enemy territory without slowing down!

I wouldn't say Ink Resistance is a must-have, but it can save your tentacle in tight spots. Especially useful for aggressive playstyles or getting up close and personal with foes.
