No way, save your money. The value can fluctuate wildly, and it's more about nostalgia than actual worth.
It totally depends on why you're collecting. If it's for fun and you love the Pokemon universe, then absolutely. But if you're looking to make a quick buck, there are easier ways.
Been collecting for years and it's totally worth it. Not only have some of my cards increased in value, but the community and memories I've made along the way are priceless.
