Actually, they're different! Damage can lead to loss of life, but loss of life doesn't necessarily come from damage. There's a bunch of sneaky spells and abilities out there that can reduce your life total without dealing a single point of damage. Keep an eye out!

No, they're not the same. In some cases, it can feel like splitting hairs, but in MTG, the distinction is important for gameplay. For instance, effects that prevent or redirect damage won't help against cards that just make you lose life.

Nope, loss of life isn't the same as damage in MTG. Damage can cause loss of life, but there are other ways to lose life too, without taking damage. Like, if a card says you lose life, you're not taking damage, you're just...sadly, losing life.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
