It really depends on your play style. Manual mode offers direct control and can be more engaging, but it also requires more skill. If you鈥檙e more casual, semi-auto can work wonders.

I've played through Tales of Vesperia twice, once in manual mode and once in semi-auto. Both were fun, but manual mode gave me much more satisfaction in combat. Your mileage may vary!
