Is My Pokemon Card First Edition?
To tell if your Pokemon card is a first edition, look for a little “Edition 1” symbol on the left side, right below the Pokemon illustration. It's a small, black circle with the number '1' and 'Edition' written across. If you see it, congratulations, you've got a first edition! If not, it's from a later printing.

No symbol, no party! First edition Pokemon cards always have that special 'Edition 1' mark. If yours doesn't, it's not a first edition.
Actually, some first edition cards are super subtle with the marking, especially in older sets. I had to squint to find mine, but it was there!
