Not really. Overlord's Ainz is basically running the show, while SAO's Kirito just wants out.

Definitely some similarities! Both Overlord and SAO have virtual worlds and intense battles, but in Overlord, the protagonist isn't trying to escape.

I've watched both, and while they share the concept of gaming worlds, Overlord leans into the protagonist being an Overlord (duh!), whereas SAO is about survival and escape.

Sorta! Both Overlord and Sword Art Online involve characters trapped or living in a virtual world, but Overlord has more of a focus on world domination and a darker tone.

If you're a Sword Art Online fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
