Nope, Plants vs Zombies isn't an indie game. It started off from a small studio called PopCap Games, but then Electronic Arts (EA), a big player in the gaming industry, acquired PopCap. So, while it might have indie roots, it's now part of a major gaming corporation.

Def not indie. PopCap was indie-ish before EA bought them, but now PvZ is as mainstream as it gets. Big budget, big marketing.

Plants vs Zombies started as a project from a smaller studio, so it had that indie vibe initially. But once EA took over, it kinda graduated from indie to blockbuster status. Still, the original charm that made it feel indie is there.

If you're a Plants vs Zombies player looking for extra money or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Plants vs Zombies essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
