Sorta! The original Plants vs Zombies game that came out in 2009 was usually a paid game on PC and Mac. You had to buy it once and then it was yours forever. But good news, there are now versions like 'Plants vs. Zombies FREE' on mobile platforms that you can play for free. They use a freemium model, meaning the game is free but you might spend some cash on in-app purchases for extra content or features. Not exactly a laptop version, but if you're cool with mobile gaming, you're in luck!

Nope, not completely. The OG version for laptops usually requires a one-time purchase. However, you can get your PvZ fix with free versions available on mobile devices. These versions are free to download but keep an eye out for those in-app purchases!

If you're a Plants vs Zombies player looking for extra money or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Plants vs Zombies essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
