Unfortunately, the PS4 is not natively backwards compatible with PS1, PS2, or PS3 discs. However, you can enjoy many classic titles through PlayStation Now and the PlayStation Store!

Nope, PS4 can't play old PS1, PS2, or PS3 discs. But hey, lots of classics are available digitally!

PS4 doesn't support old discs. Stream or download your favorite classics through PlayStation Now and the PlayStation Store instead.

Firsthand experience here - I tried popping in a PS2 disc, no luck. PS4 isn't backwards compatible with physical games from older generations.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
