Technically, some PS3 online services are still running, but don't expect any new updates or major support from Sony. It's mostly in legacy mode now.

Sony stopped manufacturing the PS3 in 2017, and official support for the console has gradually declined since then. However, you can still find game updates and online services in limited capacity.

PS3 support is pretty much over. Time to embrace the future with a PS4 or PS5!

I recently dusted off my old PS3 and found that the PlayStation Store still works, and game updates are still available. So, while it's not actively supported, it's not entirely dead yet!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
