Rainbow Six Siege does have crossplay, but it's limited. Xbox can only crossplay with other consoles, like PlayStation, and not with PC players.

As someone who tried to squad up with friends on PC while on Xbox, I can confirm it doesn’t work. Consoles stick together, PC is separate.
