Season 2 of Demon Slayer is split into two parts. The first part is the Mugen Train Arc, which adapts the train movie content. The second part, the Entertainment District Arc, is all new material!

Mugen Train Arc in Season 2 covers the same plot as the movie but has extra scenes and episodes for even more action.

Yeah, it鈥檚 basically the same story. Season 2 just gives a bit more context and padding around the Train movie.

I watched both. Season 2鈥檚 Mugen Train Arc is an expanded version of the movie with extra scenes, and more in-depth character moments. The rest of Season 2 goes beyond the movie.
