Slaking's great for gym defense because it just sits there like a tank, but for PvP? Not so much. Yawn makes it too slow.

I've used Slaking in PvP and it's kind of like bringing a sledgehammer to a thumb war. Great power, terrible speed. Stick with faster 'mons.
