Sonic Mania isn't exactly an indie game, but it has indie vibes! Sega published it, but they hired indie developers like Christian Whitehead and PagodaWest Games to create it.

I'd say Sonic Mania is a love letter to the classic Sonic games, made by fans-turned-official developers. Indie in spirit, Sega in reality!

Sega published it but used indie devs, so it's kinda like an indie game with a major studio's backing. Best of both worlds!
