Ummm, not really. The original game's co-star mode is still there, letting a friend collect Star Bits and give you a hand, but it's not proper multiplayer.

Nope, Super Mario Galaxy on Switch doesn't have a true multiplayer mode. It's pretty much a solo adventure, but a second player can join and help out by collecting and shooting Star Bits!
I played it with my sibling using the second controller to collect Star Bits and it was super fun! But it's not real multiplayer.
Nah, it's basically solo play. A friend can help collect Star Bits, but it's not a full multiplayer experience.
