Is Tears of the Kingdom the Same Map as BOTW?

Actually, it's a bit of both. You get the BOTW vibes with recognizable locations, but Tears of the Kingdom expands on that in a big way. New zones, new secrets, and those islands in the sky? Totally fresh. So, while it's rooted in the same world, the map's more like BOTW 2.0.

Kinda, but not really. Sure, there's overlap, but calling it the 'same map' doesn't do justice to all the new content and exploration Tears of the Kingdom throws at you. It's BOTW's Hyrule, reimagined and massively expanded.

Nope, it's not the same old map! Tears of the Kingdom takes the world of Hyrule from Breath of the Wild and turns it up to 11. You'll see some familiar places for sure, but there are tons of new areas to explore and the added verticality with floating islands. Plus, the whole environment is way more dynamic now, thanks to the new gameplay mechanics. Think of it as BOTW's map on a serious adventure glow-up!

I mean, if you squint, maybe? But with all the new stuff to do and places to explore, calling it the same is underselling it big time.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
