I played The Last of Us Part II on my PS5 after the update, and it was smooth as butter! Still the same PS4 game but with a turbo boost.

Yes, but not exactly. The Last of Us Part II doesn't have a dedicated PS5 version, but it received a patch to enhance performance on the PS5, including improved frame rates and faster load times.
