Gonna drop a hot take here: No Pokemon card is worth $1 million... yet. But it's only a matter of time. The fandom's growing, and some cards like the Pikachu Illustrator are already in the high six figures. Keep your eyes peeled!

Not yet, but we're getting close! The holy grail of Pokemon cards, the Pikachu Illustrator card, has fetched upwards of $900,000 at auctions. It's one of the rarest cards in existence, given only to winners of a 1998 illustration contest in Japan. So, while we haven't hit the $1 million mark yet, the Pikachu Illustrator card shows we're not far off.

I vividly remember my shock when I heard about a Pokemon card selling for over $900,000. It was a Pikachu Illustrator card — a card so rare, it's basically the unicorn of the Pokemon TCG world. We might not have hit a million-dollar card yet, but that day is definitely on the horizon. The value of these cards just keeps climbing!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
