Is There an Ability Cap in Splatoon 2?
Yep! Each piece of gear can have up to four ability slots, but some abilities have caps on their effectiveness. For example, Ink Saver (Main) stops providing benefits after 3 main abilities and 3 sub abilities are equipped. Time to strategize your loadout!

Nope, no caps! Err, well, technically there are diminishing returns, but you can keep stacking if you're really into that!
Yeah, there are caps! You can stack abilities, but they hit diminishing returns after a point, so it’s all about balance and strategy.
Totally, I tried maxing out swim speed and hit the cap. Your gear can only take so much before it's full.
