Well, in the original Dragon Ball series, Piccolo blew up the moon to stop Goku from transforming into a Great Ape! But fear not, by Dragon Ball Z, the moon had magically been restored... and destroyed again by Vegeta during the Buu Saga. Gotta love the cosmic yo-yo!
