Nope, the anime missed out on a lot of the manga's depth and complexity. Manga all the way!

If you want the full experience, read the manga. The anime skips some important parts and changes others significantly. I was a bit disappointed honestly.

While the anime captures the essence of Tokyo Ghoul, many fans agree the manga offers a richer and more complete narrative.

Tokyo Ghoul's anime is an adaptation of the manga, but it deviates significantly in story progression and character development after the first season. Manga tends to be more detailed.

If you're a Tokyo Ghoul fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
