Not really. Season 3, aka Tokyo Ghoul:re, changes a lot from the first two seasons and can be confusing if you don't read the manga.
Season 3 is definitely worth it! As a huge fan, I loved seeing the new developments and characters introduced. Plus, more action!
Hot take: Just read the manga instead. The anime adaptation misses a lot of important details.
