Wait it out, pal. The tech world moves fast, and the first version of anything is usually followed by something sleeker, faster, and with kinks ironed out. Valve might release an updated version of the Steam Deck or improve the existing one with software updates that you'll benefit from by just being a little patient.
If you're not dying for portability, stick with a traditional PC setup. The Steam Deck is cool, but it can't replace the power and flexibility of a full-on gaming PC.
