PS4. No brainer. Better graphics, better games, better experience. Move on.
If you're on a budget and want to play some older classics, the PS3 might be a good choice. You still get access to gems like 'The Last of Us' and 'Uncharted 2'.
I have both, and I'd say the PS4 wins hands down. The games are better optimized, the UI is smoother, and you get more features. My PS3 is mostly a nostalgia machine now.
Hot take: Get a PS3 if you love old-school games and don't care much about the latest in graphics and performance.
