It kinda depends on what you're using it for and what ecosystem you're more invested in. If you've got a bunch of Steam games and like the Steam interface, go for Steam. It's super convenient to have everything in one place. But if you're big on Oculus and use the Quest a lot, buying on Oculus might be better for the seamless integration.

Oculus version has better performance for Oculus headsets. If you're using Quest or Quest 2, might as well get the most optimized experience.

Steam all the way! You get to keep all your games and apps in one place, and Valve keeps updating Steam with cool new features. Plus, if you ever switch to another PC VR headset, you won't have to repurchase Virtual Desktop.

Honestly, I went with Steam because of the sales. Wait for a good deal, and you can grab Virtual Desktop for a steal. Plus, Steam's refund policy is pretty user-friendly if you end up changing your mind.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
