It really depends on your moral compass and the story path you wanna follow. If you're going for a more ruthless character, then sure, knock yourself out. But remember, Virgil offers a unique questline and killing him cuts that short. Plus, he's trying to make amends for his past actions, so maybe give him a chance to redeem himself? It's not like the Commonwealth is short on actual villains.

Just kill him and loot the place, easy caps. Who cares about redemption arcs anyway?

I spared Virgil and honestly, it felt like the right choice. He helps you out and gives you access to some cool stuff. It's not always about the loot, sometimes it's about the story and the characters you meet along the way.

Nah, don't do it. Virgil has one of the most interesting arcs in the game. Help him out instead and you'll see a more rewarding side of the story. It's not every day you get to help a super mutant find his humanity again. Plus, he gives you a unique serum, which is a nice bonus.
