As someone who did watch all the Harry Potter movies before playing, I can say it added a lot to my experience. Recognizing locations and understanding the lore made me feel more connected to the game. Plus, it's just fun to see how the game builds on the world J.K. Rowling created.

No need. Hogwarts Legacy stands on its own as a magical adventure. Sure, Harry Potter movies give you background, but jumping straight into the game without watching won't spell disaster for your experience.

Totally, watching Harry Potter first is like doing your Hogwarts homework before the first day of school. It's not mandatory, but it'll definitely enhance your experience. You'll catch more references, understand the world better, and those Easter eggs will be way more exciting.

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
