Honestly, both versions have their charm! Watch it subbed for the authentic experience and to hear the original Japanese voice acting. But if you love English dubs or want to avoid reading subtitles, the dub is pretty solid too!

Sub for the true experience and Goku鈥檚 hilarious high-pitched voice. Dub for nostalgia and easy watching. Either way, you're in for a good time!

Hot take: just watch whichever one you can find easiest. You're here for the action and plot anyway!

Personally, I started watching Dragon Ball dubbed and loved it. The voice acting was great, and it made it easier to follow the action without reading subtitles. Later, I rewatched it subbed and appreciated the original voice acting and nuances. Do whatever suits your style!
