Nope, Midas hasn't been completely removed from Fortnite! He's still lurking around in the game’s lore and pops up in certain events and cosmetics.

I remember when Midas turned everything he touched into gold. He’s not totally gone, but he’s not a main character anymore.
Yeah, they took him out after Chapter 2, Season 2, but he’s made cameos since then.
